This release delivers eight improvements to BrightCIS, covering payments, subcontractor management, reporting, and data import for the 2026/27 tax year. Everything below is live from 5 May 2026. If you have any questions, our support team is happy to help.

CIS Month 12 payments can now be finalised without errors
Payments for Month 12 can now be finalised and P&D Statements confirmed without any errors occurring during the process.

Open ER screen shows accurate finalisation status after import
When importing a CIS company from the 2025/26 tax year into 2026/27, the Open ER screen now correctly reflects each company's actual finalisation status.

Department filter on Finalise Payments now shows all departments and subcontractors correctly
When using the Department filter on the Finalise Payments screen, all configured departments now appear and selecting a department correctly displays all subcontractors assigned to it.

Subcontractor ordering is now consistent in generated bank files
When generating a bank file from the Payments screen, subcontractors now appear in the same order in the generated file as they do on the bank file screen.

Warning added when deleting a contractor that exists across multiple tax years
When deleting a contractor that exists in more than one tax year, BrightCIS now displays a warning to confirm that the deletion will apply to all tax years, so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.

CIS Summary report columns display correctly when exported to PDF
The CIS Summary report now shows the correct columns when exported to PDF, matching exactly what you see on screen.

P&D Statements now follow a consistent order in downloaded PDFs
When downloading P&D Statements as a single PDF, subcontractors are now presented in a consistent, logical order throughout the document.

Weekly payments can now be imported from CSV without errors
When importing weekly payments from a CSV file into BrightCIS, the process now completes successfully.
